Chad vs. Chud Current focus
An image-analysis web app with a custom CNN behind it. Users upload a photo, the model scores it in real time. Deployed on Fly.io.
Software: founder of Chad vs. Chud (10K users) and b2alpha.io (2K business users). Mechanical: built a wind tunnel from scratch, published the paper in IEEE.

Most of what I make starts as something in my own life that bugs me until I fix it. I work in two halves — software and mechanical — but they come from the same place: notice a problem, get a little obsessed, and build my way out of it.
Wanting my Honda Civic to be more efficient is what got me fixated on aerodynamic drag. To actually test a fix I built a wind tunnel from scratch — soldered the load cells, ran the fluid sims — and it ended up being the first demonstration of passive vortex propulsion in air, which I presented at an international conference.
Another one: I noticed how much time I was losing to TikTok, so instead of deleting it I decided the feed wasn't the problem — what it fed me was. I built a news app with the same addictive, swipe-through algorithm, except it strips the bias out of every story. That one became my first startup.
Wrote the LLM prompts behind the AP tutor chatbots on their YouTube videos. Built AI auto-grading for AP DBQs and FRQs. Led UI/UX of the company site. The team picked up a Microsoft + OpenAI grant and crossed a $1M valuation along the way.
3D models and haptic-feedback prototypes for medical-training simulators.
Built bikes from the frame up. Ran safety checks on customer bikes before they left the shop. Started as an intern, moved to part-time.

An open protocol so agents can talk to other agents — secure messaging plus DNS integration. A lot of the work is prompt engineering: getting models to produce structured output another agent can actually parse.
Analytics for prediction markets — charts, signals, comparisons. I own the backend, the test suite, and most of the debugging.
Full-stack news aggregator with a short-form-video feed (think Reels, but news). Goal: get past the spin and show what actually happened.
First demonstration of passive vortex propulsion in air. I built the wind tunnel from scratch to run the experiment — soldered and calibrated the load cells with an Arduino, ran the fluid sims in Fusion 360, published the paper in IEEE.
Built an Arduino device that measures salt concentration in water. Also engineered a PID-controlled electric vehicle for fast, accurate distance runs.
Autonomous + tele-op Java. PID control loops. Sensor fusion.
Special honor at the regional fair, plus an invitation to NASA Goddard.
Awarded for sustained volunteer hours.
Classical guitar. Member of the All-Virginia Guitar Ensemble. I also organize concerts at local senior centers — small rooms, attentive audiences, no microphones.
Mathematics track, summer 2024.
