Passive Vortex Propulsion

Self-built wind tunnel · CFD · published research

I wanted to make my Honda Civic more efficient, so I started experimenting with ways to reduce aerodynamic drag. That turned into a self-built wind tunnel, soldered and calibrated load cells with an Arduino, and CFD in Fusion 360. The work became a first-author IEEE paper on the first demonstration of passive vortex propulsion in air.

Four seasons · every part CADded & built · Chesapeake championship

Four years leading team 12096. I CADded and built every part in Fusion 360 and wrote the autonomous and tele-op in Java — PID loops, sensor fusion, odometry. We took it to the Chesapeake championship.

Motor-Based Resistance System

Portable strength trainer · designed, built & tested by me

A compact, battery-powered resistance trainer — no weights, no mounting, no wall power. A 188:1 geared motor on drawer slides gives smooth, PWM-controlled resistance from an Arduino. I designed and built it through three prototypes — eddy-current → chain-driven → geared — and tested it to a linear, repeatable force curve (R² = 0.993).

Truss Bridge

CADded & built by me · iterated v1 → v2 for strength-to-weight

A wooden truss bridge for the Science Olympiad Bridge event, judged on load carried per gram. I CADded it in Fusion 360 and iterated v1 → v2 — thinning members and reworking the top chord into an arch to shed weight while holding strength.

An autonomous vehicle that accelerates then brakes to stop on a target distance. I CADded it in Fusion 360 and built it — Arduino, a goBILDA motor, and a quadrature encoder, tuned with PID.

Khali

A news startup · native iOS + Expo · current focus

I was addicted to the TikTok scroll, so I tried to make that interaction useful instead of empty. Khali turns news into a swipe-through feed where each story combines reporting from opposing sources, presents one claim at a time, and lets you ask an OpenAI assistant for the evidence behind it. I built the native SwiftUI iOS app and the Expo / React Native app on a Node + Python backend that ingests sources, clusters events, and generates the clips and narration. Now shipped on the App Store. Submitted to Y Combinator's Spring 2026 batch.

Articulator

Turns a rough idea into something you can act on

Born at IndyHax 2026 as "The Articulator 3000." Speak, type, upload documents, or pinch your fingers to draw in the air over your webcam (MediaPipe hand tracking, all client-side) — Articulator fuses it all into a structured idea model, interviews you weakest-field-first until it actually understands, then runs a web-research reality check against your saved skills, time, and budget. Out the other end: a concept image, a realistic timeline and cost range, and paste-ready handoffs — a freelance brief or a Claude Code prompt.

Oh

Shared AI-coding memory for small teams

A team brain for AI coding. Oh captures every Claude Code and Codex session, embeds the reasoning behind each change into a shared store, and exposes one MCP tool — ask — so a teammate's agent can answer "why is this code the way it is?" instead of interrupting the author to re-explain. Capture is hook-driven and incremental; only reasoning is embedded, with secrets scrubbed locally.

Chad vs. Chud

Real-time PvP face-rating game · full-stack + ML

A real-time 1v1 face-rating battle — two players dueled over webcam and an AI scored each face. I built the Next.js client, a Socket.IO + WebRTC matchmaking service, and a Python/FastAPI inference service running a fine-tuned ResNet-18 + ArcFace ensemble alongside an LLM scorer — plus tournaments, leaderboards, and a Stripe cosmetics economy.

I'm a classical guitarist. When I'm not training a model or cutting a part in Fusion, I'm working a piece up to performance — and there's a discipline there that bleeds back into the engineering.
